Students will be given progress reports every six weeks.  Progress report grades will be based solely on the percentage earned up to that point.

Attendance Policy:

In order for students to be successful in this course, it is essential that they attend class every day.  The Lakewood High School attendance policy will be followed.  If a student is absent, it is their responsibility to find out what was missed during office hours only and complete the makeup work in a timely manner.  A list of assignments will be posted on my website - it is highly encouraged that students look there first to see what they missed.

Homework Policy:

In order for students to be successful in this course, it is crucial that homework be completed on a consistent basis.  Assignments will be checked or turned in almost daily at the beginning of the class period that they are due.  Each assignment will be worth 10 points.  No late work will be accepted.

Tests:

A test will be given at the completion of every unit.  Each unit test will be worth 100 points.  If a student is absent it is their responsibility to schedule a makeup time.

Final Exam:

A comprehensive final exam will be given each semester that is worth 100 points.  If the score on the final exam is better than a student’s lowest test score, then a student may replace his or her lowest test score with the score they receive on the final exam if and only if they have at least a 90% homework average for the semester.

My office hours are before school on orange days from 7:05 – 7:35 in room B201.  On black days my office hours are in the afternoon from 3:10 – 3:40 in room B201. You do not need to schedule an appointment ahead of time if you are coming in for help.
