Production Information

LHS Theatre Company productions rely on a lot of students passionate about telling stories and a lot of parents excited and willing to support the student journey and voice in theatre! Productions involve anywhere from 25-250 students, depending on the size of the show, all involved in different capacities from house crew to cast, from concessions provider to stage management. There are opportunities for everyone in the LHS Theatre Company!

Are you a student interested in participating in a production? If so, please attend a Theatre Company Meeting on the first and third Tuesday of every moth to meet our directors and stage managers. Cast members are auditioned on designated days, and crews are assigned based on student interest. We participate in other, school-wide activities as well, including Trick or Treat Street and Homecoming! Join us at a meeting to find out how to get involved! Or check out information on our Get Involved page!

Are you a parent with a student already involved or interested in being involved? Keep track of LHS Theatre Company activities by checking events on the calendar page, or rehearsal requirements on the specific show page. Parent support is always welcome, and we rely on you to help manage our large productions. If you're interested in being a Drama Mama or Papa, please visit our Get Involved page to find out how!

In 2020...
While there is still a lot of uncertainty around the 2020 fall theatre season, one thing is sure: the LHSTC is committed to providing students opportunities to be involved in story telling. This year, the company is aiming for three fall productions:

A Wrinkle in Time
Geared for families, this story tells the tale of Meg and her little brother, Charles Wallace, who set out to find their father whose been missing for four years. They get some help from some wise and worldly Mrs's, and find that sometimes time can be shaped in ways you never imagined.
This production will be live and outdoors, as well as live streamed from an indoor venue. However, as conditions fluctuate, the production MAY be moved to a streaming only performance. Coming in October.

It's a Wonderful Life
The holiday classic is brought to life on the radio. When George Bailey hits a rough patch, Clarance the angel shows him how different Bedford Falls would be without George ever being born. A classic for all ages, this production will rely on the voice acting of our talented LHS theatre students, and will be predominately remote. Coming in December.

This year, Improv will be an opportunity for our incoming freshmen to get involved with sophomore mentors on the team! Improv will rehearse in person, socially distanced, as long as conditions allow. The improv performance will take place in the fall, either live or live streamed, with exact dates TBA.
