As if the school year hasn’t gone by in a flash already, students are gearing up for the upcoming AP exams this May. The AP exams are set to start on Monday, May and end on Friday, May 13. The exams range from eight o’clock in the morning, to two o’clock in the afternoon, and here’s what students are doing to get ready.

High schoolers from across the country will prepare for this nerve-racking test while also toppling school work and every other end of year event. Natalie Bullock, a junior that’s in AP European History and AP Language and Composition, is preparing for her AP tests by “Reviewing material consistently and reaching out to teachers for extra help, and attending review sessions held by a teacher.”

The start to this heavy process can be challenging, as students are attempting to be less stressed as possible. As students prepare for this test within less than a month, studying, staying organized and getting the access they need to improve their knowledge is essential.

When asked if any specific emotions come to mind during this time, Natalie says that she feels, “pretty confident on the English test, but less confident on her European test because of the multiple choice aspect.”

However, in order to help calm these nerves, teachers have begun to start preparing students by holding review sessions throughout the weeks leading up to the exams. Mrs. Bolger, AP Language and Composition teacher, is holding multiple review sessions for her students that will consist of elements and proportions that are featured on the test.

The AP exams will come faster than we know it, and these elements will help them in their potentially tough journey to succeeding.
