Class Expectations

All students will keep a lab notebook.  This notebook will contain lecture notes, homework assignments, tests, quizzes, data and laboratory write ups.

After an absence you have two days to do make up work.  For extended absences, extra time will be allowed.  If you are absent when an assignment is due, the assignment will be due upon your return to class.  It is YOUR responsibility to contact me regarding missing work.

Tardy policy is clearly displayed in the classroom.  If you are late, please wait to be let in.  When you enter, please do so quietly as to not disturb academic instruction.  If you would like your “absent” changed to “tardy”, you must wait until after class to ask for the change.  Once the day has passed, I no longer have the ability to change your attendance.

Being responsible for your own actions is the single most important guideline for your classroom behavior.  I will expect “above the line” behavior in my class and for you to be a positive influence on our classroom culture.

Lab work requires a safe environment.  Discipline issues or “below the line” behavior will be taken seriously and will be dealt with accordingly.

Students will come to class each day on time with the required materials.
