Higher Education Admission Requirements/Jefferson County Graduation Requirements
Four-year colleges in Colorado recognize that strong academic preparation in high school is important for success in college. Consequently, the Colorado Department of Higher Education developed the Higher Education Admission Requirements (HEAR) as a guide to help students prepare to be competitive candidates for college admission. The following chart provides the HEAR recommended number of high school courses as compared to the required number for graduation from a Jeffco public school.
