Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony
Lakewood High School’s Class of 2026 graduation ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at CU Boulder Events Center. Important: Graduates are to report at 9:00 a.m. to prepare for the ceremony.
- Seniors must arrive by 9:00 a.m. to prepare for the ceremony and go directly to the practice gym through the hallway after they enter the GRADUATES entrance. If the grads enter through other entrances, it will be hard for them to find the practice gym!
- There are no tickets required for this event. Students are welcome to invite as many family members and friends as they would like.
- The ceremony will be between an hour and a half and two hours long.
- Graduates will receive their official diplomas after the ceremony. They will pick up their diplomas from their counselors on the upper concourse on the south side of the events center. You will meet your graduates outside.
- Graduates must wear their black caps and gowns. They cannot decorate their caps and may only wear sashes, cords, and medals provided by the school, in compliance with Jeffco Board Policy. Seniors should ask Ms. Hart questions about this policy before they arrive on May 16th. Graduating seniors who wear additional recognitions that do not comply with Jeffco Board Policy must remove the item.
- Corsages, leis, money necklace, etc cannot be worn unless part of a cultural tradition outlined in Board Policy IKFB-R. This is the same policy for graduation caps.
- As seniors prepare for the ceremony, we expect graduates to dress appropriately to celebrate this significant achievement. They should wear clothing and shoes that are both comfortable and respectful, in line with a dress code that upholds the dignity of the graduation ceremony.
- Families and friends DO NOT need tickets, and parking is free. There is no limit on the number of friends and family members a graduate can invite.
- Interpretation will be available in ASL and Spanish. Please check in at the table at the Northwest Entrance.
- Accessible parking and seating are available. Parking is free. Closed captioning is also available.
- Friends and family who wish to take pictures or videos of the ceremony must remain in the seating area. No one will be allowed on the floor.
- As we come together to celebrate the Class of 2026, please remember that this is a school activity, and all Jeffco Public Schools Code of Conduct rules apply and will be enforced.
- The ceremony will be live-streamed. Here is the link to share with family and friends who cannot attend the ceremony.
- CU has a STRICT clear bag policy. Review the information so you will not have to return to your car! There are no lockers available.
- NO air horns, noise-makers, glitter, or posters that would block the view of the stage.
- Graduates and guests do NOT enter through the same doors. Please remember that everyone who enters the CU Events Center passes through a metal detector.
- ADA-accessible seating is available on both the floor and concourse levels of the arena. Upon arrival, event staff will be available to guide you—simply let them know whether you prefer floor-level or concourse-level seating. Please note that while ADA sections are reserved for accessibility, individual seats within those areas cannot be reserved in advance. Remember this is not a ticketed event, so seating is on a first-come, first-sit basis.
- Graduation photos will be taken by Lifetouch.
Please reach out with any questions or if you need additional information. We are very excited to celebrate the Class of 2026 with the friends and families of our graduates.

Outstanding Student Fees and Fines
We are so excited to celebrate the Class of 2026! To ensure your final checkout process is as smooth as possible, please take note of the following:
-
Settle Your Accounts: Please ensure that all school fees and fines from the past four years are cleared prior to graduation. Having a zero balance is a vital part of completing your senior checkout process.
-
Skip the Wait: Our Financial Secretary, Ms. Stefanich, will be assisting many families in person during the Senior's last week. To avoid long lines and a stressful wait, we highly recommend paying any outstanding balances in advance!
Those needing to view or pay student fines and fees can log in to Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Verify the student is listed, then click the green arrow to go to the payment screen.
Pro-tip: Taking care of these details now means more time to celebrate your achievements later!
