LHS Theatre Company
The Lakewood High School Theatre Company is one of the largest theatre companies in the state of Colorado, in both curricular and extracurricular activities. More than 140 students participate in many of the over seven productions that the LHSTC puts on outside of school every year. For anyone interested in participating in theatre outside of school, Lakewood offers the following:
- Two or more Fall Plays
- Spring Musical
- Spring One Acts
- Acting Festivals and workshops throughout the year
- Eight different technical crews, including: Stage, Sound, Lights, Publicity, Costumes, Props, Paint and House Crew
- Several company bonding events, including ice skating, pumpkin carving, roller skating, and the annual summer picnic.
Lakewood is the only school in Jeffco that has two dedicated theatre teachers that teach more than 9 different theatre classes, ranging from Foundations of Theatre to IB Theatre to Technical Theatre. It is not required for a student to be in classes to partake in extracurricular theatre, but it is recommended in order to gain further knowledge about theatre.

Throughout the years, the LHS Theatre Company earned numerous awards and honors. The LHS Theatre Company has received multiple Bobby G awards and nominations, Colorado Thespian Mainstage Honors, and many other awards and honors.
