About Me:

I have been living in Colorado for 17 years. I came here from Florida where I lived and taught for 6 years. I grew up in Rhode Island and went to college in Connecticut. I have always had a great love of everything outdoors. The only thing I miss here in Colorado is the ocean, which had always been a big part of my life growing up.

You can see my boys Adrian (10) and Sebastian (7) in the picture above. Both boys are very different but manage to find a few common interests to keep them from fighting too much. Adrian is a junior weather watcher for channel 4 and certified NOAA storm spotter. He loves everything weather related, but tornadoes are his true passion. He started 5th grade this year. Sebastian is really interested in snakes at the moment and really wants to catch a venomous snake, but promises to wait until properly trained (probably a good idea after being bitten twice so far by garter snakes). Sebastian is super shy and quiet, but also can’t sit still for very long which is why he is not looking forward to going back to school where he will start 2nd grade.

My wife Erika is currently working as a teacher’s aid at Adrian’s school after being a stay at home mom for the past 8 years. She was a Science and Spanish teacher before staying at home with the boys.We have been married for 12 years and enjoy spending as much time as we can as a family.

Our dog Thunder is now 5. We were told he would be a midsized dog of about 45 pounds when we adopted him. He is now 95 pounds and full of energy. He is a great dog and a good companion for the boys.

This is my 17th year at LHS. This is my 23rd year teaching. I have been teaching Earth Science all those years and this will be my fourth year teaching physics. This will be my first year teaching Honors Physics. I am looking forward to collaborating with my Mr. Gray to help develop the curriculum to incorporate PBL (Project Based learning) and NGSS (Next generation Science Standards) to better prepare students to apply scientific knowledge to unique situations and be able to think and reason scientifically.
